musings from my shower this morning

Some things I love about being married:

• Walking around our apartment completely naked (because why not?)
• Waking up next to my best friend
• Being in a real ward
• Less roommate drama (less everything drama, actually)
• Never having to label my groceries
• As much peace & quiet as I want
• Always having someone to talk to
• Two words: back massage

Some things I do not understand:

• Why, after living in our apartment for almost 3 months, I still have to tell myself "leftie loosey, rightie tighty" every morning in the shower to figure out how to adjust the water temperature
• Why the ants keep coming back to our kitchen even though we keep poisoning them
• Why the English department is letting a certain professor teach a certain course this fall. I've been saving the class to take for years now, because the one or two professors who always teach it are awesome. This professor is not awesome at all. I am very, very sad.
• Why the skin on the tips of my fingers and my knuckles is peeling off. Oweeeee...
• Why I insist on wearing 65-degree clothing and shoes in 45-degree weather
• Why I'm getting so jaded & cynical about school in general
• Why running hurts my body so much
• Why all I did this morning, my one free morning this week, was sleep in & watch TV in my bathrobe
• Why it's nearly impossible for me to be on time to anything
  
• Why this list sounds glum when it's such a beautiful day outside
• Why I spend as much time (more?) reading Facebook as reading my scriptures
