I'm tagging myself

...even though I totally stole this from Courtney. Basically I don't want to a) study for finals, b) finish the 20-page paper that was (gulp) due on Thursday, c) start packing to move in either a week or a month (depending on if Scott gets picked for an internship or not), or d) go to bed. I think I have no willpower.

Let's see...the end of 5th grade. I was both incredibly awkward and obnoxiously cocky at the same time, but slowly learning some social skills. Glasses, no braces, 5' 5" if I remember right. My teacher had the same last name as me, but we're not really related. Kristy--my best friend since kindergarten--and I were starting to drift apart. Bryce Johnson was still the popular kid to have a crush on, and I still didn't care. I didn't like playing with horses as much anymore. Wow...blast from the past...

5 things on my to do list tomorrow
  1. finish that &@#% paper
  2. study for & take my D&C final
  3. go to the stupid presentation final thing for IP&T 286.
  4. maybe start packing, eventually
  5. watch some Food Network. (Hey, the first 3 things should count for enough, right?)
5 snacks I enjoy
1. crunchy cheetos
2. yogurt-covered pretzels
3. chocolate chip cookie dough
4. sugar snap peas
5. cameo apples

What I would do if I was given a billion dollars
  • finish paying for school for me & Scott
  • put it in the bank & live off the interest...good gravy, that's boring.
  • travel, definitely
  • buy a house with a huge backyard & have a truckload of kids.
  • donate a ton of it to the church. Really, what do you do with that kind of money? I have no idea.
3 bad habits
1. biting my nails. so unattractive.
2. being late to everything, always
3. procrastinating things past the last minute (e.g. this paper I should be writing)

5 places I have lived
1. Provo, UT
2. Placentia, CA
3. Ogden, UT
4. North Ogden, UT
5. Orem, UT
(dang. I need to move.)

5 jobs I have had
1. Chick-Fil-A, Wendy's, Blockbuster, Teriyaki Stix...all kinds of retail.
2. Phone sales for two random companies in Ogden. Ugh.
3. Writing tutor at the Writing Center (my favorite by far) and for Writing Fellows
4. basically a factory worker at the BYU Bindery. I think I actually liked this job.
5. Student director for a theater camp

5 things [most] people don't know about me
1. My mom says I taught myself how to read at age 2 1/2. I think she's exaggerating.
2. I have an irrational...distaste for? fear of? aversion to?...stickers and tape and such, but only when stuck on people and/or their clothes. Yes, I know, it's weird. I don't understand it either.
3. I know how to knit, crochet, quilt, cross-stitch, embroider, darn (like socks), sew a blind hem, wash & card & spin wool, run a loom, etc. etc. etc. ... I'm a freaking textile factory.
4. I love fire...and I'm completely irresponsible about it. I've lit people's clothes, my hair, my yard, my bookshelves, etc. on fire on purpose. This is bad. (Fortunately, nothing has ever gotten really out of hand.)
5. I have achalasia: "a rare disease of the muscle of the esophagus (swallowing tube). The term achalasia means "failure to relax" and refers to the inability of the lower esophageal sphincter (a ring of muscle between the lower esophagus and the stomach) to open and let food pass into the stomach. As a result, patients with achalasia have difficulty swallowing food." I had minor surgery when I was 16 to have my esophagus stretched, which actually helped a lot.

Well, that was exciting. Anyone else? I'm tagging...goodness, I don't know. Anyone as bored as I am.

I'm glad you tagged yourself! It's fitting, really, because I tagged myself when I saw it on someone else's blog.
