we got it!!!

Scott got the internship he applied for!! I am so excited! This means we'll be living in Richfield, UT this summer--a hop, skip, and a jump away from some of the most beautiful hiking on the planet. (And it may be in the middle of nowhere, but it isn't Utah Valley.) Woo hoo!!

The internship is with the Forest Service. We went down to see the office last week on our way to Vegas over reading days, and it looks like a pretty cool job. He'll be doing all kinds of GPS/GIS stuff, which basically means working with sweet mapping programs that I don't understand. It's great job experience, and it's a paid internship which doesn't hurt at all. :)

It also means that I'll be doing classes through Independent Study instead of going to school Summer term, which I'm really excited for. :) Granted, it'll be almost the same thing--I still have 9 credits I need to do before September--but a) if I become a complete slacker and don't get them done by then, I have until next April to finish them, and b) I can work on them wherever, whenever I want.

Holy crap. I am so excited. Also, we're leaving for Europe TWO WEEKS from today!! Oh my gosh!! We'll be gone until the 21st and we're moving down to Richfield on the 24th or so, which means we need to start packing soon. :)
